ventured over to CYFAN to see what the deal is with Mckay? Another DNP/coaches decision. Is he not willing to adapt to the new coach and his style? ISU was killed on the boards by a bad TCU team. Thoughts?

He's a head case. We all knew the transfer thing would catch up to ISU eventually. It started last year with BJD. None of these guys knew they would eventually have a coach with some rules, limits, character expectations, etc. There is no question McKay should be starting and touching the ball every trip down the floor. Just ask him. This is just an outsider's speculation.
I'm guessing you haven't watched a ISU bb game this yearWhat am I missing? Wasn't McKay one of the few that gave effort on the boards on the defensive end last year? Is it Proehm or McKay showing his true colors?

He was Big 12 defensive player of the year last season and averaged something like 9 boards a game. I don't know how you go from that to this season where he tries maybe half the time, and has been a liability on defense according to Cyclone fans.
Sounds like McKay skipped a couple classes and Prohm is trying to make a point with him. Which is the right thing to do for a young man. I'm sure McKay looks at it like Prohm is riding him, but some day he'll look back and realize he's just trying to help him out.
I've also heard that Prohm is only keeping him on the team because he's been told to do so by higher ups. Which would obviously be Polturd. Things aren't good between Prohm and McKay. He's just trying to get through to him, but McKay is a headcase. His teammates kind of see both sides of it. They think Prohm is riding him too hard, but they also think McKay needs to man up.
So Hoiberg was able to "get through" to him and Prohm isn't? I just find it odd all of sudden dude starts flaking out.
