its just for ***** and giggles... i think the new iowa system fits his game a lot better and he could and would be the STAR.. not surrounded by them.. he looks lost to me...

It's never easy playing as a freshman. I think its clear that he was overrated coming in...I still think he is a top 10 recruit and will be a star eventually.

Show me any Iowa player that has ever had this much put on him. EVER! Just wait until he gets going and you'll realize why Iowa had no chance at him. Yes, it would have been great for Iowa to land him as well as McDermott, but the system has not been in a good place for quite a while. With that said, I like what I've seen so far this year. Go Hawks!

He's averaging more points, rebounds, and assists per game than any of our freshmen. His numbers would rank him 2nd on our team in scoring and 1st in rebounding. They are below what people thought they might be, but many had him as a 1st team all-American, which was a bit premature.

His struggles show just how important a true point guard is to a team.

who cares, he made his choice. Putting him preseason 1st team all american was a complete joke that he would have NEVER lived up to regardless. Michael Jordan didn't do all that well his first year at UNC stats wise. Iowa wasn't even in his list of schools he was considering, ISU only was on there because he went to Ames.

Watched the whole Illinois game last night. Barnes may become a special player at UNC time will tell but the expectations for him as a true freshman are completely ridiculous. None of it is his fault of course. McCammey=legit All American. Barnes=not even close this year.

3 times during the MSU v Duke game Dicky V mentioned how good he was going to be. I can't take this guy. Fine, let him be good and stop frickin' talking about it. Until he does it is ALL talk. By the way, he loves Duke and UNC and the ACC in general if you didn't know. Puke. Stop letting him do Duke games ESPN.

I would hope so. It is a huge adjustment and he likely improve although I doubt to the level of expectations this year.

Ya know what? If I could negative rep you right now I would do it. Dickie V is the most passionate and honest BBAll personality out there. He's all about the "kids" and if you have a problem with that well then you can just take it up with Larry the Cable Guy Cottlar.
