Harbaugh to L.A.

Didn't Jeff Fisher just sign an extension? I think Harbaugh eventually ends up back in the NFL but that is at least 4-5 years down the road.

From what I have read, it appears that any immediate move to the NFL by Harbag is pure speculation. Will some NFL team(s) try to lure him? Of course. duh.

It's 100% bullshit but you have to love how bad this is blowing up on Michigan boards. Their fans are already having strokes about getting beat by Iowa, the reffing at OSU, and being stuck in the Orange Bowl. Adding this to the mix warms my heart.

No its not, it's a 100% fact.

P.S. Stop dissing one of my recruiting tactics.

This would make zero sense. If he did go, I'd seriously be worried about his mental capacity. Michigan job is much more attractive job than crappy Rams job. Unless Kurt Warner is part of the package. Magic part 2. God I miss Warner in the NFL.

I only wish that were true... I can't see it myself. He's got as good of a gig as there is. I mean unless he just detests college (he sure don't seem to) The money is about the same. Maybe his wife is just a Cali girl now after having been out there a couple times now for jobs of his. But seriously his wife is the only thing that makes sense. Job wise why go to the Rams and attempt to rebuild that mess? I know it's winter time but I don't think the grass in LA is greener than Ann Arbor for him... But to see the Michigan fans panties all up in a bunch over it is worth it. Now they know how we felt with KF for a few yrs during our good run with the constant rumors

He actually making $2,000,000 more than Jeff Fisher this year if you include the interest-free life insurance premiums.

His position as a Michigan alumnus, starting QB, best recruiter in the nation, and the most popular head coach in school history (yes, more popular than Schembechler) make him almost impossible to fire. You don't get that kind of job security in the NFL.

True but you also don't have to recruit in the NFL and I imagine if there was an NFL team that wants him, he'll be able to negotiate a contract that would be worth more.

But recruiting is certainly an advantage being at a school like Michigan and the tradition certainly gives him an edge on many other schools to be able to bring talent to his program, an edge he would lose at the NFL level.

Harbaugh is making more this year than any NFL coach. There's no way he's going to come into the league and make more than Belichick or Pete Carroll. It doesn't work that way.

Right now he's got total, ground up control over his program all the way from incoming athletes to play calling. He has no owners, GMs, or any other front office to answer to which is why he got rammed out of the pros to begin with. Harbaugh could tell Warde Manuel to go pick out new drapes for his office and he would do it.

The NFL is no place for a megalomaniac control-freak head coach, and the NCAA is the perfect place for one.
