Harbaugh Back in the Fold at Michigan

John Elway on Harbaugh: "To me, it’s coming down to Stanford, and I think Michigan is back in the picture."
 


I think Michigan is going to start getting desperate and will throw gobs of cash at Harbaugh to get him to come home.
 


Harbaugh is going to come out of this smelling like roses. He can go to the NFL if he wants or he can stay in college and coach at his alma mater. He could also stay put with a nice big raise and coach one of the best teams in the country next year. The man has some really nice options for being barely above .500 as a head coach.
 




If I am Jim Harbaugh I do this....

I have the chance to continue to coach Luck and have a really good team next year. So I stay at Stanford with my current contract. Then I follow Luck next year. Go to the team with the #1 pick in the draft.
 


There is no reason he shouldn't test the NFL waters. If he fails, college still loves him. So he makes a bundle up there and comes back to college to a (probably) good school and recruits like a madman.

Very true, I should have put a question mark at the end of the sentence, especially after reading about the inpending doom of the Iowa football program on Twitter.

To prove the point further, it appears Harbaugh has agreed to terms with the 49ers.

Of course, I guess I am open to the same criticism if he actually stays at Stanford at some point AFTER 3:08 CT on Friday, January 7, 2011. Except that I didn't actually start a post that said he is back in the fold at Michigan:)
