Happy Fathers' Day

Your balls or the twins?
When our kids were young my wife always told them the following. "Another mommy brought you into this world, but you came from my heart."
I'll never forget the day January 20 1997. While the nation watch President Clinton on Inaguration Day, my fiance (now spouse) and I got the news expecting parents fear the most.

It was on to plan B and what a long and winding road it's been. But a rewarding one at the same time.

I know I say this every year, but Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there with over five hundred twitter followers. To all the other dad's out there: get more followers then maybe we can talk.

You’re still the most unskilled troll on this board.

One time when I was young and too big for my britches my dad told me, “I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.” Loved the hell out of that guy.

My dad always told my mom: "He's not my kid, he's your kid." Yeah, he was referring to me. He actually said the same thing about one of my sisters as well.

You're dad was a Bill Cosby fan. At least that's where I first heard that quote.
My Mount Rushmore of standup comic soundtracks: No particular order.

Bill Cosby "Himself"
Eddie Murphy "Delirious"
Richard Pryor "Live from the Sunset Strip"
George Carlin "A place For My Stuff"

George Carlin AM/FM for me. That's when he went from straight man to counterculture.

I went to go see Cosby at the Pavillion in Sioux Falls around '02, '03 (???) and at the time it was funny as hell, but now it's like being a fan of Joe Paterno or Kevin Spacey. I wonder who I should email to get my money back...

Saw George Carlin at Hancher in the mid 80's.
Bill Cosby (who's performed at Carver in the past) at the Dubuque Five Flags Center around 2000.

Both were outstanding shows. Cosby was joking about his flight later that night out of the "Dubuque International Airport"

Have you ever been to Dubuque's airport?
