Yes, a missed opportunity. Another indictment of whoever makes our lousy OOC.
Last year is what I would want going forward. A sold out ISU game to keep the rivalry people happy. A Pitt game to keep the "upgrade" people happy. I'm one of them.
And a protege game with Danny Mac. And Kirk got him fired for the second time in his career. That's pretty badass.
Remove the Ill State game and the above OOC is exactly the type of thing I would like to see. And since we are down to 3 games in the OOC it's not an impossibility.
An example for next year which would've been cool if someone was on the ball in the scheduling department would be:
ISU
Oklahoma
Directional school
That would satisfy my criteria.
Again, without looking I'm sure that would be way better than whatever the OOC actually is.

Josh is the king of getting his panties in a bunch. He is still mad at me for saying Icke is entertaining, even tho I disagree with Icke and go back and forth with him a lot.

There will not be anymore FCS schools under big 10 rules starting next year. And playing MAC schools is a crap shoot because many times they can be very good.

Well what do we gain by playing MAC schools and FCS schools??
At least Iowa State is a P5 school. A crappy one, I'll give you that.

Willies has 6 catches out of 160 pass attempts for Tech. Vandeberg has 15 catches out of 75 pass attempts. Extrapolate that, and Vandy would have 30+ catches to Willies 6.
Willies transfered to the most pass happy of pass happy teams where he has become the 6th leading WR on that team. Vandeberg would catch 100+ balls a year in the Texas Tech system.
