He was announcing on the one that Devon airballed to the right of the rim.

I felt bad for Archie but I had to laugh when that happened. I have never, ever seen anybody airball a free throw to the left or right of the hoop. There has been plenty of times where someone has left it short and didnt draw iron but come on. That was bad!!!

I remember a ft attempt by a Navy player in the Hawkeye Amana Classic (many years ago) that I thought was going to put a hole in the glass backboard, he shot it so hard (not intentional either). Arcie's miss falls into that same of level of infamy.....did I really see that. Archie may be the worst ft shooter I have ever seen.

Gus has a great ability to get REALLY excited about a play without making it seem like he is rubbing it in on the opposing team.

Perhaps it is because he is not affiliated with any particular B10 team? Perhaps it is because he is an equal opportunity big play lover?

Not sure exactly why, but he doesn't come across as rubbing salt in a wound like some announcers tend to do.
