That's actually pretty cool. He has been there for 21 years and has been the heart of their program. Why not let him at least have a voice in the next hire. He cannot be overly pissed about being canned. This is big boy football and the results aren't there anymore. No one likes to be told they are failing, but its part of what you sign up for in this line of work. I am sure he is a millionaire many times over and can retire comfortably. Hopefully, it is as amicable as it can be.He was the second longest tenured coach besides KF I believe too. Same thought went through my head about how Gundy went out. I see in his clause they want him to be part of the selection for a new hire.
