The Cubs pretty much burnt all of their bridges with Gracie.

Grace has been welcomed back to Wrigley and threw out the 1st pitch and done other things since then. Plus, there are new owners now. That being said, Gracie wants to be in broadcasting and not coaching, kind of like Sutcliffe.
