Grant Hill ***** slaps Jalen, again.

Grant Hill was my favorite NBA player when I was in high school. I has several of his jerseys and collected a ton of his BB cards. He was a role model on and off the court.

So really he's just angry they called him a ***** and wanted to mention how he never lost to Michigan. Well good for him I guess.

And what did jalen just want to say? He's just angry he never won a championship and wanted to mention he made millions in the NBA and is more "popular" than the Duke players now? Good for him, I guess.

BURN!!
Sad that some blacks promote the stereotype that being successful, or getting good grades makes you less "black."
I salute you, Grant Hill.

No he just said how he felt as a 17/18 year old. Most people's view points change as they grow up and mature. I appreciate him being honest. I'm glad Grant felt the need to respond to how someone felt 20 years ago.

Hill comes off as thin skinned.

And I find it comical how Grant is all about winning all of a sudden. Has the guy ever been on a team that made it out of the first round of the NBA playoffs?

Also a little confused how Grant said he came from a "middle class" family. Was his dad not a star NFL player?

Ok, I'm confused. He's trying to say he's not an Uncle Tom but writes a letter in which he sounds like one? OK then...

NFL players did not get paid near as much back then as they do today. Im sure they were sitting a little above middle class but I believe pro athletes took jobs in their off seasons to make some more money back in those days.

He made it out of the first round last year for the first time ever. Went to the western conference finals with Phoenix.

Just like Rose, I think you better reevaluate how you define that term, or maybe do a little historical research on what it really means.

When I watched the Fab Five the only thing I could think of was some child calling their opponent in a game of war that he was a stupid head because he got beat. I thought Jalen and all those guys were just sour grapes. It was sad to me to see how they felt about the race factor and how they handled, it even now as 40 year olds.

Also, if I was a coach and had the option of taking Grant Hill or Jalen Rose, I would take Grant Hill, a smart well spoken nice guy, versus a kid that prided himself on being a trash talker etc.

It seems as though a lot of people don't understand the concept of past tense. Everything they said about Duke was about how they felt when they were 18 years old. They said they thought Laettner couldn't play but after they played against Duke, they knew he had game. They even said Duke was a better team than them, how is that having sour grapes?

Jalen was a producer on the show. He could have done far more to discuss the difference of his perception then and now and how he was misguided. Instead, he let it stand. Think about what he said about Webber as well, and then,

Ask yourself why?

He probably thought most viewers would be able to understand the context of the quote, and that it was referring to how he felt at that time, not presently.

What did he say about Webber? That he knew there were no timeouts left?
