I haven't been able to find brackets yet but the Hawks sent many of there young guys there today. St John beat Weatherman 8-1 earlier today and guys like Gambrall and E Lofthouse are cruising so far.

Ramos wins 19-8 in quarters in 1st competition of the year. Both Ballwegs get pins, Carew gets pin, St John with a MD. Lofthouse, Gambrall, Ambrose, Johnson, and Rasing yet to wrestle there quarters match. Looking good so far!

Everyone listed above won there quarterfinal matchup and the Hawk wrestlers are cruising. I believe that the only Iowa guy who lost through that round was Lira...

I haven't been able to find the brackets and my buddy left the tournament early. I don't have any more results but I will post them as soon as I find out. I know that it ran late last year when I was there...

Carew wins the title at 149 with Sheridan getting 4th.
Matt Ballweg beats Nate Carr in the semis but falls to Derek St John in the finals 3-1.
Ethan Lofthouse has an oustanding tourney and beats Duke Burke of ISU in the finals!
Gambrall gets upset in the semis but picks up a couple nice wins in the wrestle backs to take 3rd.

Great showing by a lot of young Hawks. Very impressed with Ethan Lofthouse, great win over Duke Burke. Would love for Brodie Ambrose to get a few varsity matches with Beatty out.

these little tournaments are important for the future and looks like hawk wrestlers do take them seriously
