So here is the breakdown of the data as it relates to Iowa. Am I disputing that Iowa graduated 40% of the black players that were recruited? No. But I am disputing that it was because of racism. With respect to what is the topic of conversation at this current time, linking this article without doing any research certainly added to the narrative that Iowa is a racist school. So here goes:

There were exactly zero starters that transferred willingly, and only 1 that maybe would have been a back up. A lot of the players were recruited out of Florida, that seemed to be a failed recruiting experiment because many of the players didnt adjust to Iowa culture. Also, of the players that transferred, zero transferred to a P5 school, suggesting that they weren't talented enough to make it.
This article does not support the racism claim that James Daniels and Rob Howe were insinuating, only that it is a result of really poor recruiting at that time by the Iowa staff.
