We are 28th in Kempom and Saragin/Saragin_ELO through games on Friday.
Wasn't there a stat someone had that said only 1 team in the last 4-7 years had been left out of tourney with rating below 35? and only 4 lower than 40?

Yes. Iowa will be a major anomaly either way. Either the Hawkeyes will become one of the highest rated teams in KenPom history to miss the tournament, or they will become one of the lowest rated RPI teams to make the tournament. In light of the fact that the RPI is the officially sanctioned metric of the NCAA, the odds seem to favor Iowa getting left out.

I don't think Iowa makes it, but what the tourney chair said and how they use the numbers is good news for the hawks.

Iowa's saving grace will be the committee looking at as many computer rankings as possible. I'm hoping they'll do it BCS-style--toss out the best and the worst and average the rest. Iowa has very favorable computer rankings save for the RPI.
