That looked like a couple of bad teams out there to me... MN is adjusting to not only life after Ibrahim but that huge experienced Oline they had the last couple yrs too.
You coulda fooled me that Nebraska has a new coach. Looked like Frosts impact is still rubbing off on them. They are a volleyball school now.
I thought the exact same thing. The second coming of Tommy Armpunt. They have tried to win using a QB who can run buy couldn’t throw an accurate pass beyond 5 yards for 20 years and somehow it’s still not working. Their line is a disaster too. Zero fundamentals.
I posted after watching the first 2 drives that I thought Minn looked tough. I was still overall impressed w/ their new QB and he appears to have a couple weapons on the outside. The route and athletic ability Jackson showed on the late TD catch was impressive. But I agree, their OL looked atrocious as the game went on. Running game was practically nonexistent. As for Nebraska, well they looked the same. Good running QB that'll have as many int as td passes midway through the season when he finally gets knocked out of a game to an injury. Their D played well last night however i don't put much stock in it because of how bad Minn OL looked. As I went into this game, I was thinking about which team is a bigger threat to Iowa and winning the West. As I watched it, I was thinking that they're both inferior to Iowa. Minnesota's OL was atrocious last night and I thought about them trying to do anything with our DL. They shouldn't be able to move the ball much at all against us. I hate to say this, but a conservative offense that doesn't turn the ball over should be able to let the defense win the game.
He tried to run the ball and the RB fumbled. That fumble turned the game.Love Lil Debbie losing again. Ruhle choked, he should of ran the ball in the 4th. Their QB is a TO waiting to happen. Piss poor play calling. The look on Ruhle's face in the 4th was priceless...cotton mouth, licking his lips and looking for someone to save him. The Solich curse is real and I love it!
I thought the young Minny QB had his moments. He looks like he will be a good one. He had good pocket instincts, threw from different angles, and seemed poised. That entire offense is young. They could get more dangerous as the year goes, but they still looked like the 4th best team in the West.I posted after watching the first 2 drives that I thought Minn looked tough. Instead they threw the ball a lot, and not very well, but Nebraska continued the tradition of throwing the ball to people on the other team often so it didn't matter.I don't know what to expect beyond Minnesota running the ball a lot.
