There are still major, major problems with the Iowa coaching regime, it seems to me starting with the head case head coach, continuing to his nepotistic hire at offensive coordinator and retread at QB coach. Iowa beat a very bad Nebraska team that had to know its coach was getting fired at the end of the game no matter the outcome and more or less gave up after Iowa's second TD of the second half. So that's a great win?
While I never fail to enjoy seeing Debby getting rickrolled, viewing the game the last two quarters was almost like not wanting to stare at a car wreck. There were a few times when I said to my wife on big plays or kNu turnovers "Oh, God, here we go..." And our side was winning. It was that bad.
I prefer to look at the median of Iowa's performance over the season and wonder just WTF happened between the Ohio State blowout and yesterday. That has all the signs of being bipolar. Is there a reason Iowa's football teams cannot perform at a more consistent level every week? Why the offense was so inconsistent? Why special teams were largely terrible? Why out of 100 or so available player positions we cannot find one college student who can punt the ball?
