Good win but...

Penn State 56
Ohio State 56
Iowa 56
Minnesota 55

I guess you’re not impressed with Ohio State and Penn State either.

Penn State had 42 by half. OSU had 35 at half. They called off the dogs pretty much in the 2nd half.

Get over yourself. Nebraska's defense sucks bad. Iowa did what they should have done today. It's that simple. Too bad they were not consistent with the offense all year.

Come on, how many of us can admit that, deep inside, we feel a connection with the pain Nebraska is going through...and care about their predicament?

Right, because Vegas had the line at Iowa -42.

Kudo's to the OP, that was good and gave me a laugh.

I don't care if Nebraska is the worst college football team in the world I will always feel good about giving them a 56-14 beat down. They came into the B1G thinking they would own us like they did ISU, I don't hear those idiots talking now.

The betting odds have nothing to do with this. Nebraska gave up early in the 3rd. Anybody who was watching could clearly see it. Iowa did exactly what they should have done.

Iowa has the talent on the field, just not so much on the sidelines from a coaching standpoint.

Stay in Indiana snowflake!

You’ve always got really great reasons that Iowa’s wins aren’t as impressive as other programs’ wins. You da man.

I agree Iowa did what they should have. I wonder why Wisconsin couldn’t get more than 36 against a sucky bad Nebby defense.

But you’re right. Iowa’s offense should have been a lot more consistent. Iowa should have been moving the ball more toward the stats like they did vs. Nebby, OSU, ISU rather than the debacles vs. Purdue and Wisconsin. It’s really inexcusable.

Odds have nothing do with it? I refuse to believe you aren’t smarter than that. A 42 point beat down on a 4 point spread means Iowa was predicted to win by 4. You just refuse to give credit when it is due.
Overpaid!
Boring!
Hire his son!
You would probably be made even as an Alabama fan.
I bet you hate puppies and rainbows too.

I don't get posters who have to belittle and snark on a 42 point win over a Power 5 opponent in the Big Ten Conference. Why can't you just be happy for the players? I don't care what "state" you think the Nebraska program is in - although I get what the OP is saying because of what the "former" Nebraska AD said in 2014.

Watching the replay on BTN right now and I bet it is just as fun the second time

The above is all I'm saying. It's frustrating watching them from week to week. We never know which offense will show up. I don't expect much in their bowl game either. Seen this scenario many times over the past several years.

Listen lady, it was a great 42 point win. But the ups and down of the offense over the course of a 12 game regular season is difficult to watch. Again, it's a 12 game season not one game vs. Nebraska. I wouldn't expect you to understand though. I'll leave it at that.

i wouldn’t expect her to understand either.

Who would know that because Minnesota scored 55 so Iowa scoring 56 is

“not impressive”

would be synonymous with

“a great win”

There are still major, major problems with the Iowa coaching regime, it seems to me starting with the head case head coach, continuing to his nepotistic hire at offensive coordinator and retread at QB coach. Iowa beat a very bad Nebraska team that had to know its coach was getting fired at the end of the game no matter the outcome and more or less gave up after Iowa's second TD of the second half. So that's a great win?

While I never fail to enjoy seeing Debby getting rickrolled, viewing the game the last two quarters was almost like not wanting to stare at a car wreck. There were a few times when I said to my wife on big plays or kNu turnovers "Oh, God, here we go..." And our side was winning. It was that bad.

I prefer to look at the median of Iowa's performance over the season and wonder just WTF happened between the Ohio State blowout and yesterday. That has all the signs of being bipolar. Is there a reason Iowa's football teams cannot perform at a more consistent level every week? Why the offense was so inconsistent? Why special teams were largely terrible? Why out of 100 or so available player positions we cannot find one college student who can punt the ball?
