Said it in another thread but I like the hawks in this match up and others have already stated that Davidson is a different team on the road. They have a whopping 2 wins against tournament teams. Both came at home. So on the road they have no quality wins.
I'm not sure I want to go small to try to match up with them but rather stay big and just pound them inside. I want to feed Woody right from the start. If he can't score early and often, I don't want to see him the rest of the game.
But if we find out that we need to go small we can. Clemmons, Gesell, Jok, Uthoff, White for example. Olaseni is athletic enough that he can hang with a smaller player. Uhl can play if need be and of course Ogelsby.
Zone scares me against a shooting team so I'm not sure I want to go that route but I'm sure Fran will mix it in.
This game is all about limiting penetration to avoid playing help defense and leaving shooters to do so. I think Mike and Anthony do a fairly decent job. We just need Jok, Ogelsby and some of the others to do their part.
