Side note. Has there even been an NFL team who, year after year, comes out of the blocks quicker than Kansas City only to flame out in the playoffs, usually at home to a lower seeded team. Good God, if they crowned Super Bowl winners in September/early October the Chiefs would have at least a dozen by now.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the 49ers trade with the Lions for Matt Cassel, then Jake Rudock can get his backup QB job back with the Lions.

i'd be shocked if this happened cause they had matt cassel for a smidge two-three years ago, and they didn't keep him around
