Ghost Encounters Thread

have any of you tried a ouija board before? I will never, those things freak me out and a friend of mine told me once that he and his college buddies tried one. My friend said one the people in their group became possessed. He said once his friend was taken over, it was asking where he was and what the date and year was. My friend was dead serious and said it was beyond terrifying.

I did once. It was on Good Friday 1983 on the 3rd floor of Reinow Hall. A bunch of us lived to far away, or didn't have transportation to go home for Easter.

Anyway, we thought taking shrooms and playing a ouija board would be fun. It was pretty weird. The thing did indeed move around the board and answer questions we asked.

Anyway, later in the night as others started coming back to the dorm after the bars or library, we were a source of entertainment. We weren't really the extreme party crowd, thus there was a lot of amusement in our shroom experiment.

As 4 of us had our hands on the little triangle thing one guy asked if the devil was in the room. The triangle thingy lurched vertically, straight up about by a foot off the board, and the room got cold. A straight laced kid from near Kalona that was watching...one that came home from the library... took off running out of the room. We found him in the 3rd floor Reinow shower stall shaking, pretty inconsolable. He said there was a dark, shadowy figure was standing behind his shoulder when that question was asked. We quit playing, and I slept with my bible and baseball glove that night. I have no explanation for the BB glove.

When I went home for the summer somehow that board came with me. It seemed that my stuff piled on top of it kept falling off of it, so I would see it when I walked by. After the third day or so, I tossed it in the garbage. I'm sure it is haunting a landfill in NW Iowa somewhere.

Nice story bro. But, you do know one is never to throw that thing away or burn it, dont you? Word is it would haunt anybody who did the rest of your life. No chit. Not kidding.

has anyone here ever visited that axe murder house, I think it's in SW Iowa somewhere? A long, long time ago someone murdered a family in cold blood inside their house with an axe, the person who committed the crime was never caught. Guess the house is haunted and people can tour it I think even spend the night if you have the guts to do so.

Villisca Axe Murdered house in Villisca, IA - it's NOW not open to stay the night in, but I've done it twice with friends back when it was. No power, no bathrooms, sleep (if ya can) on the floor. We drank and partied both times, didn't have anything cool happen.
