Georgia Tech the 15th B1G member?

I've lived in both the Des Moines suburbs and Atlanta suburbs. I'll just say this... it's ironic for those in Des Moines to make hillbilly/missing teeth/poor education jokes about Atlanta.

After Maryland and Rutgers it is a foregone conclusion that members 15 and 16 are real close to being added. The Big 12 is sniffing around the ACC as well, leaving me wondering if the PAC 12 will get in this horse race? It looks like UNC, GT, NCS, and Virginia are the objects of affection for the B1G. The SEC would like a NC school for number 15. Which begs the question who would be number 16? Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas? The Big 12 then has the pick of the ACC carcass; FSU, Miami, Clemson, but then keeping the current 10 in place.

The south lost the war. Go back to Traitoria if you love it so much. We lose our teeth up here because of drug abuse, not bad genetics and lack of oral hygiene.

Being the Warmest Weather in the conference will likely be a big advantage for GT.
Actually, weather will be a disadvantage for GT.

By the time the conference games start, the weather is pretty mild in Georgia. It's not going to be much of a problem for teams travelling to GT. On the other hand, the Yellowjackets have limited experience with the weather in games in Minny or Wisky in November.

I meant for recruiting. You are right, may be a disadvantage on Game day.

Look's like FCAS is a butthurt, stupid southern redneck.
:) I guess I've opened the door to some ridicule.

I like both Des Moines and Atlanta. But when it comes to the popularity of Nascar and Wrestling in comparison to college football, Des Moines is going to have a higher percentage of folks putting the "redneck" sports ahead of college FB.

What suburb did you live in, Altoona? We don't claim the East side of Des Moines

You're right, Atlanta is a high end wine and cheese crowd. Second, NECKCAR and pro rasslin' ain't sports. Third, superstation TBS was huge in the growth of pro rasslin' and Ted Turner headquartered his hillbilly posse down in Atlanta because of the number of rednecks who would show up for and tune in to watch rasslin' programming.

No one who lives in Neck Moines should make jokes about where anyone lives save for those poor souls who live in Crapids, Ottumwa, Kirksville, MO and Marshalltown.
