Georges Niang's body image is confusing

I've always liked Niang's game, but he may regret losing some of that weight. A big part of his game was using his hefty rear end to back himself into the lane.

Commentator and basketball coach Jim Valvano use to always make the comment about a power forwards rear end making up for a lack of height. Usually the really great athletes have more power because of their really big rear ends too.

It would be pretty funny if losing the weight hurt Niang's ability to score around the basket. I highly doubt that will be the case, but it would be funny if it did happen.

Good for him. It shows his willingness to better himself. I know how much running basketball players do and it always amazes me to see D-1 ball players that are heavy.
