Robinson expected to take a pounding 20?to?25 times a game | TheGazette

This isn't a bad thing, but 20-25 carries could mean taking a couple of hard shots and we don't have a proven back up who can carry the load IF Arob was to ever get injured or even if he stays out a series. Coker may have looked good but cmon' it was Ball St. guys. I hope to see Coker in a couple of times against Mich. to get the feel of how things work against a B10 defense (even if it's Michigan) because Iv'e got a feeling that unlike Penn St., Robinson is going to need to take a series or 2 off sometime ,and we'd want a True Frosh to have more game experience other than than Ball St.*

KF has said that they want to get Coker out there more this week. They use the bye week to let the older guys heal up and get the younger guys some reps, so I expect him to come into this game having taken a lot more practice snaps this week than previously. My concern is that if we only play him for a series or two, he'll still be awfully green after the game. If ARob goes down (God forbid) at some point this season, the last thing we need is to throw a true freshman out there against Wisconsin or Ohio State and expect him to carry the load. If I had my druthers, we'd sit ARob for the entire 4th quarter Saturday (assuming the win is well in hand) and play Coker at RB. He'll get to play against a beaten up Big Ten D which should give him some confidence, especially if he's able to find pay dirt once or twice.
