Gavin Holmes Talks to HN About Decision to Decommit from Iowa

The only thing that will benefit Iowa here is a early signing period because the way Iowa recruits won't change as long as Kirk is here.

or a coach that doesn't live in the stone ages when it comes to recruiting and offensive philosophies. folks this was the kid that could have turned our passing game around next season. touchdown waiting to happen. If GH and BC all wind up at the same school as Eno, ferentz needs to be gone. Is this what $55 mil in new facilities and $40 mil new contract gets us?
 
"Iowa parting ways with Benjamin after he visited other schools is rubbing Holmes the wrong way. The Hawkeyes now are offering running backs committed elsewhere". Seems a little hypocritical to me.

Anyway, Iowa can find 3* elsewhere so no big loss. The real big losses are losing Benjamin & Calloway. Iowa can find other 3* players.

But they were establishing a Texas pipeline this year. Now that is almost gone. 3 stars from the Dakotas aren't quite as important to the program as 3 stars from Texas.
 
So there is virtually zero depth coming in next year to a 7-4 team that isn't very offensively talented to begin with. Oh well. At least KF got yet another year of his contract guaranteed on Saturday.

They learned it from Ferentz. The no visit policy is the epitome of defeatist pussy thinking. "He'll leave us if we let him look around and realize we're awful offensive coaches and have a mindset stuck in the 1950's" No bigger loser in college sports than Ferentz, f*** him.

This is sad, who once looked like a program advocate Enos now looks like he may have set back recruiting at Iowa. What's also sad is that only 1 side of the story is getting told so everyone is taking sides with the recruit.
