Listen, Iowa was not good against the run last week. You tried to place most of this on Bowers, which is incorrect. The D-line was unimpressive. Snyder and Hockaday played like freshmen, and Taylor was nearly invisible. You tweeted during the game that Bowers got 'ate up' by the center and gave up a big run, which simply isn't true (and I've proven that)...and that he was having a bad day, which also isn't accurate. I don't know who all these LB's are that can meet a RB with a head of steam one on one and 'stalemate' him. I never said Bowers had a great game, but he certainly didn't have a poor game and was actually one the most 'solid' on the D in game 1. If Iowa is going to improve in run defense, it won't come down to whether Bowers 'fits' better or 'lines the back up', etc...And you're wrong about how Iowa plays 'man under', they are taught to lock in and their only 'read' is their man. And when they're in 'man under', the DE line is supposed to maintain gap integrity. The D-end can't 'spill' on the down block to meet the 'pull' when he has no LB to 'replace' him....

After re watching the game myself, I tent to agree with Icke. Not because I can break down film, but rather that Bahl really impressed me. He made some really good throws. I don't know if he will have a great year, but man did he have an impressive game Vs the Hawks. My guess is teams that play Miami in conference will blitz the crap out of him, so he can't sit back and get comfortable like he did against the Hawks

i agree with your assessment on bahl. After rewatching the game he made some really good throws. The guy as a live arm. Im not great at breaking down game film, but he might be better than a lot of the QBs iowa faces this year in the big ten.

When something already seems off with a guy, isn't him going toe to toe with Gamefilm and having such a different view kinda seal the deal on him? I've always thought he just blows smoke and tries to sound smarter than everyone. This just confirms it for me. I wonder if everyone who understands x's and o's laughs at him.

For a hot minute there I thought he may have been an ex-player bored at his cubicle. Clearly, that's not the case. He has the buzzwords and the terminology down, it looks like you may be right, a guy who googled a lot of stuff and tried to pass it off as genuine football knowledge. Like I said a superfan.

Are you going 3rd person on me? My guess would be that the ex-player is either Bowen or Pagel. You are pretty good at googling football stuff you can check out their credentials.

He just says he was a 'college' ex-player who 'worked' for an NFL team. He doesn't claim to have played in the NFL, so I would say your guesses are wrong.......

Gamefilm isn't laughing at me, In fact he agreed with somethings, but had no retort for others as he knows I know what I'm looking at...........

He said retorts weren't worth his time. It doesn't mean he doesn't have them. As far as him laughing I really don't know. I don't follow that talk at all. It seems like your opinions were so different that he thinks you're straight up wrong tho.
