Game thread

Even with a loss we are clearly better than we were to start the year. What does that mean? Not much but it's something.
 
I still don't get Gatens. He misses more wide open threes than any decent or better shooter I've ever seen. But then he's money on shots like that one. :confused:
 
I don't agree with letting them run the clock down with 49 seconds to go. we should have fouled and prolonged the game. Instead we allow them to run the clock down to 15 seconds and score therfore eliminating opportunities.
 
That was disappointing. We made some easily preventable mistakes that probably cost us the game. If we play like tonight the rest of the season I'll be satisfied as far as building for the future goes.
 
On every big possession they had I didnt quite understand the shots they were taking or the one on five drive to the hoops. Also in transition they made big baskets when they needed too, and we either took dumb shots or threw it away.

Valiant effort tonight. Does anybody else think that Marble should just play pg all the time? I love Cartwright but he is in some kind of funk right now. Anyway good effort hawks keep it up it doesnt get any easier from here.
 
If Gatens has a decent shooting night the Hawks would've pulled out the upset.

Marble and Basabe are becoming our 'super sophs'

White is instant offense off the bench.

Over all a very well fought contest for the Hawks, I hope they continue to be this competitive for the rest of conference play.
