I wish someone would show a clip of just before I believe Garza's last shot (mid-range shot). Whoever was guarding him put his full weight into shoving Garza from behind, and Luka nearly fell on his ass. If Garza was 50 pounds lighter, he would have been shoved 10 feet into the stands. His body is probably just still sore from the 20 fouls he drew at Nebraska.

Juwan Howard made sure to point out the free throw discrepancy. Iowa shot 30 to Michigan’s 5.
A big part of that was his team’s inability to deal with Garza. He drew 12 fouls.
A lot of people complaining about this for Michigan, but Iowa played zone for 2/3 of the game, and I think I can count on one hand the amount of times Michigan actually threw it into a player who was posting up. That is Iowa's gameplan from the start, so there's probably going to be a descrepency between the two teams. Crazy that people think the fouls must always be balanced and the free throws must always equal out. I saw a stat that Michigan is in the lower 10% of free throws attempted.
Yep. Right at about 1:41 left in the game. The crowd obviously saw it by the noise they made. Looked like the ref was staring right at it as well. I might be exaggerating a little bit by saying someone lighter being thrown into the stands, but it was an obvious foul. Are you talking about the high pressure dagger he drilled? I didn't see it. Too impressed with the shot I guess. People in this thread are right about how many more fouls they could have called. It looked like a Michigan State game where the refs are just forced to give up on calling them or have to start calling phantom calls on Iowa to help even them out. I'm proud of the refs for not doing the latter for a change.

Michigan chucked up 34 threes. Not on this board are there people complaining, just to clear that up. Just seen it a lot on twitter and other forums (including Iowa State boards lol)
I thought so to but will Garza be able to turn down the $, I don't know if I could.I absolutely love this team. With a core of Garza, CJ, Joe and Jordan we are a top 10 team next year.
Especially their Bigs and coach. The way they were leaning on Garza should have fouled out the whole front line.Michigan chucked up 34 threes.
Iowa out rebounded them by 13.
And THEY expect foul calls on the road in the B1G. Dial 1-800-Waaa
Should have been 24. Juwan though he deserved the Izzo/Ryan treatment, keep hacking until they get tired of calling them.Juwan Howard made sure to point out the free throw discrepancy. Iowa shot 30 to Michigan’s 5.

When 2 post players step out and drain a cold-blooded 3 late in the game, that just speaks volumes about this team. Relentless this team is.Great win for the Hawks and also just a great game to watch. It had an NCAA tournament feel to it. The lack of perimeter defense and allowing penetration still drives me batty, but this team just finds a way to overcome it.
The ascension of Garza obviously is a huge factor. I loved his tenacity and attitude coming in, but I don't think anyone could have foreseen him becoming a dominant player and potential 1st-team All-American. Credit to him, as he just relentlessly works at it.
In the past, you could feel games slipping away after a few bad plays, but this team fights and rallies. A lot of that can be attributed to Garza and CJ, but other players are feeding off of that competitiveness. No one backs down. It's infectious.
And he still couldn't stop Garza from getting to his spot and drilling it.Yep. Right at about 1:41 left in the game. The crowd obviously saw it by the noise they made. Garza looked right at the ref too but said nothing. Looked at it again and the Mich. player looked right at the ref. expecting a call as well.I promise I won't go on all day, but here's another obvious foul. Announcers claim CJF passed it to nobody, but that's actually a foul on Johns Jr.
