Yes, OSU actually does it the exact same time Iowa does in 2014, meaning both teams will be coming off a bye week when they play...there goes that advantage!

Illinois does the same in 2013 at the beginning of the conf schedule as well.

And Purdue actually has 2 bye weeks in a ROW in 2013 BEFORE conference play even starts!

Definitely. Let's not address the fact that we abslutely choked both games. It's much easier putting them on a pedestal with the likes of OSU. I definitely think we should have scheduled a cupcake like Alabama than face a program as prestigeous as Western Michigan. Give me a break.

I'm not sure about "choking" the games, maybe the one in 2000 but not in 2007, in fact I don't think Iowa even ever led in that game and they knew they had to win to go to a bowl game as well.

True. Choke was probably the wrong word, but this belief that Western Michigan is a powerhouse that we should fear is rediculous. Have they beat us? yes. Are we taking that to epic levels? Yes.
