He's #3 on my list of priorities for the deadline. #2 has been taken care of.

This. Make no mistake, the Cubs were basically just dumping Fukudome and were willing to get anything at all in return vs. letting him walk at the end of the year and getting nothing at all.

This is only the tip of the iceberg though.. Lots more house-cleaing to do. Lots of dead weight on this team.

I'm not sure there is a taker even if they pay all of it. He is a horrible defensive player and an average hitter
