Honestly if we are gonna try so many fake field goals our holder should be the back up QB. Stupid to waste this on our punter. Peyton would be a better throw run option than the punter.

Martinez on that last TD run was about to gloat at the Iowa D but I'm assuming the upperclassman dragged him off. A lot of brass for a freshman. Think about how he's gonna act next year.

One thing Kirk has done right is making his program the number one target of all our close neighbors. Apparently, Iowa is the measuring stick to becoming successful in the Big Ten West. I think Frost, Flick, and Iowa State all think beating Iowa is necessary to their programs. Kind of a compliment to the Hawkeyes.

Im going to be a little more cynical here. I think they see Iowa as the team they should beat. Wisky is the team they want to beat.

This. The kid is legit. I dont know if its completely crazy to say hes a generational qb for nebby. Equal run/throw/mental skills is rare. He reminds me of of Russell Wilson. What they dont have is the oline and defense....and I hope they never get it.

That said, and I dont know if this will happen, but I dont know if he will improve much. He was the same all year. If he gets hurt, Frostd offense is rendered moot.

I just don't see how you win with that style in the B1G. You aren't going to put up 40+ points vs Iowa, Wisconsin, and Northwestern on a consistent basis. If your crossover games are Michigan and MSU you aren't going to do it vs them consistently either.

I was thinking about this today while watching the game. Iowa is going to have to adjust their defensive personal in the upcoming years to be able to handle offenses like Nebbys. The B1G has been slow to adopt, but this league will be switching over shortly. 3 yards and a cloud of dust is dead.

But Alabama also has a stout defense. Look what a little bit of defense did for Iowa State in the "run and gun" big 12.

I don't think big ten teams...other than Ohio state and Penn State...can recruit athletes fast enough to beat the defenses of the big ten.

Michigan is winning mostly with defense and power running. They also shit on Nebraska hard.

Don’t forget Northwestern got the no 1 dual threat QB from two years ago after Clemson casted him off.
 
I just don't get how you get cockhard against a team that has beat you 4 straight years, and 5-6?? And 3 of those were absolute beatdowns. And the 1 game you won, Iowa gave away?
 
I agree funk Nebraska. Lots of extra on the field today and I’m surprised the refs let it get a little trashy like they did.

I was glad T.J. didn’t get an unsportsmanlike penalty on the 4th down play as he turned to the NE sidelines basically saying suck T Nuts
