Freeman commits

Dix is visiting Kansas today, I feel confident it's IL or KS with a long shot of Creighton
Wish him well, but after seeing what happened to AJ Storr after his move to Kansas I would be careful if I were him. That dude went from superstar at Wisconsin to riding the bench a lot at Kansas. Would love to ask him what the hell was that?

Here is the Athletic's Top-10 list of portal entries (there are over 1,000!):

Kind of crazy that 3 of the top-5 are linked to the Hawkeyes (either incoming or outgoing).
Well. That doesn’t bode well. Guess we had some pretty good players. “Had.”
BTW, Two 4**** star and one high 3*** star, all of our new guys, are now in the portal.
Also, our too small, marginal point guard signed with TCU. He was in the top 20.
Think he got some $$?

NIL is a cancer on college sports. I get that there has to be something in place but this college version of free agency in my opinion is just mucking up waters. A “commitment” doesn’t have the same meaning now as it did pre-NIL.
In it's current form, I agree. It's here to stay and definitely needs regulating.
Also agree with Fry, who's said there has to be some sort of "salary cap". That and some sort of repayment and / or suspension penalty or at least limitation to only 1 transfer with pay. There has to be some accountability on the player and the fact that it's still supposed to be about getting your education.

Look at the effect already on the tourney. Outside of SJU having two top players crap the bed against Arkansas all we have left now is 1's and 2's. So much for March Madness. Cinderella is dead.
