Fran McCaffrey deserves to be fired

NOT, Tom did far more with less. Never lost in first round of NCAA. tournament. These are Fran's recruits except for JU who wanted to come back to Iowa. JU even paid own way for a year. Take JU out of equation and our record would be below .500

Take the best player off most teams....and most would be average at best.

Loved Mr. Davis. And I love what Fran has done so far.

It's just like comparing Fry and Ferentz. Similar in results, but different scenarios and times.

Mr. Davis and Fran a combined while head coaches at Iowa: Zero national titles, zero Final 4's, zero Big 10 Tournament championships, zero Big 10 Tournament championship game appearances, zero Big 10 regular season championships.

For one or two years, right?

I think they had it for Davis's last two years. He went 0-2. Lost to Michigan in the 1998 tournament (Iowa was NIT that year) and lost to Wisconsin in 1999.

But, Fran's BTT record isn't exactly stellar. The last two trips have been brutal (NW & PSU).

Honestly, Alford is the only coach we've had that did much in that tournament, but that's about all I'll say for him.
