Fran is a lunatic!!

How in God's name do you do that in this game?!! You've got to maintain SOME type of composure. He completely lost it. Very troubling to see. That's something Pelini would do.
 


No coach should act like I do in the living room because I'm a crazy person yet that's what happened tonight.
 


He totally lost it and will likely get fined, suspended, or both. One T ok, but the crazy running on the floor stuff was bizarre. With that being said, coaching this group of underperformers would drive me nuts too. Nice games for Marble and White, but the other 9 guys need to man up and contribute.
 


Not even sure what he was losing his mind about. I love the guy, but he lack of composure cost Iowa the game.
 


I've *silently* worried that he gets a little to close to ppl when going off. I really hope this somehow inspires the team in some way though.

I'm right there with you and that is what I think is puzzling about the whole situation.

I wasn't upset about the officiating at the time it went to commercial yet Fran went off for an ejection.

I'm dying to find out what it was that upset him so much.

It couldn't have been the non call on Gabe's shot followed by him getting called for one. I guess u could argue those 2 calls but surely not the way Fran was or maybe he really is a lunatic.

A handful of our missed layups were missed because the Wisconsin player hit the shooter while helping. They should have been called and it was annoying but that's the way they call it in this league. Stupid and annoying but it is what it is. I think what mostly happened was that he was freaking out because we were choking again and didn't know what to do.

This. It's the mid-major to the big time coaching conundrum.

This exactly. Vital info, otherwise all the judgements on his actions are a bit premature. Also, I wish the BTN (or somebody) would put up the entire "incident" - I've only seems short clips the BTN want's us to see (?)
 


Well tonight would have been interesting if he had kept his composure I'm ok with 1 T let the refs know you are watching the bs going on...but there was NO reason to go irate and go run after people. He simply lost the game for us.
 


He just totally and completely lost it. I've watched the sequence 3 times now and I still can't figure out what he went ballistic about. There's at least 30 other instances where he had an actual justification to do that over the last 2 years but zero reason to do that here.

Maybe Bo Ryan really is under his skin or something. As the coach leading the players, you can't do that.

From what I've heard, they are both East Coast...familiar with each other, not sure how else to phrase that. So, whatever Bo is up to, Fran knows, and knows how to counter that. That usually works to our advantage. But maybe thats a part of the problem tonight - when Fran realized the playing field was no longer level, or so it appeared.
 








I think losing your mind like that is ridiculous. I don't even know what he lost his mind about? It's like he decided "I'm going to lose it here to prove a point!" Or maybe he just has ZERO composure at times
