For those who have been to several college stadiums...

Been to all the BIGs on several ocasions. For viewing game and electricity / noise generated you can't beat Kinnick. Have also been fortunate to be in enemy territory during some very noteworthy Hawk wins over the years at Michigan, OSU, and PSU.

Hopefully there's a lot of magic in those Kinnick bricks this Saturday.

Iowa- Pretty Awesome when it gets going
Half Price- Sucks but did get kinda loud last year v Iowa
Lolpher Dome- Awful awful awful place

I have been to all of the B1G stadiums (except Nebby) and would rate them as follows.
1)PSU- Great atmosphere...may change after the Sandusky deal.
2) Camp Randall/Kinnick Stadium- I would rate these equal. Wisky a much better stufdent section, Kinnick better rest of the stadium.
3) OSU- Great stadium, Hineygate was great tailgating...don't think they do it anymore.
4) Michigan- Great tailgating but the stadium was a bit of a letdown.
5) MSU- Decent all the way around. Nothing great.
6) Purdue- Nice little stadium, fun tailgating.
7) Minnesota- New stadium is better but little atmosphere.
8) Illinois- Terrible stadium, no tradition.
9) Northwestern- Terrible facilities, miserable stadium.
10) Indiana- Horrible atmosphere, terrible crowds.

Illannoy - Dump, but that was before renovations.
Metrodome - Kind of dumpy but you could buy beer and the whole tearing down of the goal posts thing was cool.
Buckeye Stadium - Awesome
Kinnick - Favorite but it's a very biased opinion

Soldier field - For some reason I just don't find that place overly impressive, not sure why

Half Price - Reminds me of Kingston in Crapids

I've been to Georgia, Auburn and Georgia Tech down here in the South. I think the experience at Kinnick, both inside and out, is better than all of them.

Offshoot from this question. Which stadium offers the best seating for visiting fans? I seen Michigan State as well as Nebraska have the visitors way up in the nosebleeds. Kinnick seats the visiting fans close to the field (section 113?), just off towards the corner.
This brings up a question I have always wondered. Why does Iowa seat visiting fans so close to the field and right next to the visiting team players? They need to be put up at the top of the endzones or upper corners of Kinnick.

It depends on one's preference:
Old and classic, traditional or
New age Pro style
As a fan of the former, Kinnick is top 5 in the country to me.
SEC schools have newer stadiums, multi decked, etc if you're in to that.

Oh, and it was asked if Kinnick used to be louder. Yes it did. The change in angle of that end zone section opened it up just a little. Still one of the loudest in CF though.

Baylor - Dump
Mizzou- fairly neat setting, but dump
Nebraska- Really cool stadium... impressive crowd.. might be better than Kinnick No tailgating
Metrodome- Dump
KSU- pretty ok. Nice fan atmosphere
KU-Worst Ive been to.
Northern Illinois- Nevermind, thats the worst.
Colorado- Old stadium, but really cool setting.
Sun Devil Stadium- Again, pretty cool setting, but pretty average.
Jack Trice- obviously as an ISU fan I enjoy the tailgating at JTS, but realize we have a pieced together smaller stadium.

I really like Kinnick as a stadium. Its close knit. Its loud. Its visually nice. Im a bit more partial to large tailgating setups so I do prefer tailgating at JTS.

I'll rank where I've been:
1) Penn St
2) Michigan
3) Ohio St
4) Minnesota (new)
5) Indiana
6)Michigan St
7) Purdue
8) Metro Dome
9) Iowa St

I didn't go for an ASU home game, but would likely rank Sun Devil #4.

Notre Dame stadium is pretty damn cool. They seamlessly built a bowl on top of the original bowl (which is a smaller scale Michigan stadium design.) It's really pretty impressive architecture. Fairly easy to get around. You take the stairs up to the bowl, you enter from ground level for the original stadium.

The architecture is cool, but I sat in the student section and couldn't get over how ugly all the girls were.

I've been to Bryant-Denny Stadium. Absolutely unbelievable. I love Kinnick so don't get me wrong. But it's hard to beat that atmosphere.

I love Camp Randall the stadium. Too bad the cheeseheads ruin it.

I've seen high school stadiums in Texas that are more impressive than ISU. But that shouldn't necessarily be taken as an insult if you're an ISU fan.

Indiana's stadium...freaking horrible.

I went to Camp Randall last week and was not overly impressed w/ fans. After Jump Around it was dead. Alumni band took
1/2 of halftime and 5th quarter. Every Uni possession some brass section of band wondered from section to section playing On Wi. - very annoying. Gotta wonder about student chanting "eat sh!t - eff you back and forth at each other. The fact that there is student housing/ frats right across the street from stadium, pretty cool and a good time.
