FL CB Jordan Oladokun Decommits

One thing we can almost always count on is that Iowa pretty much always has a couple pro db's in the mix.
I can't fault the kid and am not going to, I just know where I would be if I had aspirations of playing defensive back on Sundays.
 
When I see his other options, I have to wonder if he thinks he can make it at Iowa. I am glad he still has us in his thoughts. Maybe he just needed more time to think. That is certainly ok with me.

The fact we are still in his top 4 is promising. Once recruits can visit campus we may very well get him back in the fold.

That's just a really weird mix of schools. Pitt ain't what it was. Louisville is trash. I think KSU and Iowa are head and shoulders better offers than those two and I don't think he could go wrong at either. KSU might be a better choice than Iowa because I think they have a really good coach and they have a lot less depth than Iowa, meaning he will get some more reps early. I just hope the kid gets good advice and realizes that he needs to hit Iowa or KSU.
 
Doesn’t look good to me. Why back out of the Iowa commitment just to accept it again? It kind of looks like weak sauce to me. I would be really surprised if he comes back to Iowa. If I had to guess and it’s just a hunch, I see would put my money on Louisville.

But who wants to be in Kansas? I mean I wonder how many people realize that about Nebraska too, either get ready to drive 8 hours of nothing to get to the mountains or head east back towards Iowa.
 
Manhatten is a dump of a college town and its 3 hours to Kansas City and civilization.

I am interested if Iowa is actively recruiting him or if the coaches soured after the decommit. On paper, Iowa is the best option he has. I wonder if he is listing Iowa to show that he has a Top 25 offer, but really he is going to choose one of the other 3.

From what I've gathered, it looks like the Iowa coaches have kept the recruitment going, but I could be wrong. If they did back off, my guess is it had more to do with red flags about his maturity level, etc., as opposed to the decommitment per se.
 
I wish he would wait to take visits but also understand he's securing his future by locking up a scholarship. And who knows when visits will again be allowed?
 
Not that it means anything, but I have reached out to him multiple times since he de-committed and he has not responded. He was readily available before that.
 
My guess is Pitt. Seems like he's friends with Noah Biglow who just decommitted from Iowa State and committed to Pitt.
