With all the injuries, CJ's condition, and new players in the rotation, Fitz will be absolutely t'ing off on our blockers/CJ. This coupled with all of Fitz's fancy jersey/Rose Bowl pregrame B.S. will have the purple kittens foaming at the mouth.

I know Ferentz tries to be "Mr. Steady," but he and staff need to dial up the emotion this week or we're going to get straight up cornholed. We need a "cowboy the **** up!" mentality throughout the entire game. Others think we can lose this game and be fine. Not true. NW could conceivably run the West table if they get past us--in fact, they'd have to lose an additional 2 West division games for us to have a chance. This game is huge and we can't write it off as a loseable game. Time to sack up! I believe this team has the spirit to do it.

Possibly. But I have a feeling the New Kirk will have the troops up for this game. Northwestern is the last significant obstacle to running the regular season table. Down deep I don't think Kirk likes Fatty Pitz that much. Feeling is likely mutual.

We need to send in a 3rd string d-back to "accidentally" slide into Fitz on the sideline, breaking his leg again.

Then grab an Iowa flag, stab it through his thigh like he just conquered a foreign land, and stand over him like a trophy.

I'm not a Fitz fan...

in 2013 NW started 4-0 then lost 40-30 to OSU then was pounded by WI the next week 35 - 6, ended up 5-7

in 2012 started 5-0 before losing to Penn St 39-28 but won at Minny 21-13 the following week ended up 10-3

Hope we get the demoralized 2013 version.
