Just a hunch really in that we own them like Wisky owns us.....and I think Minny is good, but not great. I give us the edge in Kinnick.

Nate has a record of 1-12 against teams that have finished better than .500 in conference play. He is not a good qb. He sucked today, outside of 1 drive, and 1 pass to Tracy. Other than that he was his usual bad self, and he had time to throw so that wasn't the issue. Oh, and don't forget meeting the safety at the one yard line, outweighing him by 50 pounds, game on the line, and he lets him absolutely stone him.

He needed Sarge behind him to push his lard ass over the line again today. But, he tries hard.
 
2-1 final 3 games, 8-4 overall. But 7-5 is a not so remote possibility.

This was never a legitimate championship team, we squeaked out an Iowa State win by incredible luck, but never showed the killer instinct that first tier teams have, and I don’t think we ever will unless there is a serious philosophical change in the coaching ranks. And we all know that isn’t happening.

A good team, we will go to a bowl, and then we can look forward to a 6-6 team next year as a new QB is indoctrinated into the Iowa system

Apathy sets in yet again, but at least the basketball team is still undefeated!!
 
1-2. We'll lose to Minny and either Illinois or Nebraska. Wouldn't be that surprised if our first-rounders find an "injury" and bail on the rest of the season.

Would love to blow up minneys once every 90 year run. I'm going to stretch and say 2-1 and we'd better beat the Goofs as one of the wins.
 
3-0...we will thump Minny by 15+ and people will be back on the wagon. We will beat Illinois and Nebraska as well to finish 9-3.

1-2, maybe 0-3.....Nebraska is horrific, but so is BF so its probably a toss up that will come down to Martinez turning the ball over a time or two, or not
 
I'll go 2-1. I'll say they beat Nebraska and split the Minnesota/Illinois games. But 1-2 wouldn't shock me. I don't think any of the remaining games are an automatic W.
 
What happens if we go 0-3 and lose the bowl game given the expectations that this would be a 10 win season at the outset? If that does happen, Phil Parker won't be the reason. How many seasons will we lack offensive identity before Brian is asked to move on? My bet is that we could finish 6-7 this year, go 4-8 next year, and still have the same coaching staff.

More likely though is that we'll win at least 2 of the last 4 games (including the bowl game) and end up 8-5 securing Kirk another bonus. The only way I will be remotely happy with this season is if we win out though. With a senior QB, a stacked D-Line, 2 NFL tackles, and a talented stable of receivers there are no excuses for this not to be the year. Next season we'll be without Wirfs, Jackson, and Epenesa and we'll be breaking in a new QB. The 2020 schedule includes MSU @OSU @PSU for our cross over games and @Minnesota @Illinois @Purdue who will be all be returning quite a few players. We have one helluv an uphill climb ahead of us after a likely very disappointing year.
