Ferentz Monday Tweetcap: Wiegers, RB's, WR's more

I think it's positive news that Fisher has moved ahead of Bower for a starting LB spot.

Bower has good hands and took advantage of a couple opportunities last year but on a play by play basis, he just wasn't physically ready.
 
of course they are not going to name a 3rd string QB. There is no need to. Neither will play and both probably both will redshirt. Why rock the boat and upset one of them?

Barring injury, I bet those two guys are listed co-3rd string for the entire season, with both of them traveling to road games.

If an injury to CJ or Wiegers occurs, they'll need to declare one or the other.

I agree. Any time a backup preforms good enough to take away a starting spot it's a good thing. It's especially good when it happens with Kirk as the coach.

They still may not declare one ahead of the other unless/until Wiegers got hurt also. At that point, they would obviously have one in mind who was getting second-team reps but not share it publicly.
