fantasy nascar

pin2win

@hagertony
i know we are a 6 races in but is anyone interested in starting a fantasy nascar on here.

pick 3 racers every week and i'll keep track of everybody's points from here on out.

every week i will be putting in my 2 cents of who to pick and who not to pick and a few good facts about each track.

Phoenix

looks to be in the upper 80's this weekend

chevrolet has been dominating this track the past 7 years winning 11/12 races with jimmie johnson winning 4 of those 11!

pretty impressive and look for him to be a contender if not win it without any mechanical problems. Denny Hamlin loves mile long tracks and his stats are remarkable. i would see putting him on my team this week but he is coming off surgery and not quite sure how big of role that will play saturday so im putting in my reserve tank just in case i decide to make a last minute change. Tony Stewart is another driver who has a good average at these mile long tracks and he is my pick for a solid top 5 finish no matter what this week. jeff burton and jeff gordon will also be in the mix.

mark martin has success on 1-mile tracks with similar banking so would be a solid top 10 finish. Mark Martin has nine top-five finishes at Phoenix, more than any other driver. He has one victory and five second-place finishes in his 24 races and has just one DNF, that coming in his first race there.

My picks:
Jimmie Johnson
Tony Stewart
Jeff Gordon

Nothing against nascar but the fact that this thread has 25 views since it was started says a lot

I will take Jimmie Johnson since he wins every race

Can you take the same three as someone else? If yes then I go with Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, and Juan Pablo Montoya.

They have that?

ya there are fantasy leagues for every sport nowadays lol

but this isn't some offsite thing u gotta sign up for- just an idea pin2win had for(apparently the few of us) Nascar fans here on Hawkeye Nation- it's simple, pick 3 drivers every week- the points they get in that race are the points u get(is what i'm assuming neway)

You don't even have to be a fan of Nascar to play- u will probably do better than me who will over analyze every week and pick based on past performances at tracks...and jimmie johnson lol

another reason being not a lot of ppl look at professional sports forum

but yes there are leagues but usually they calculate everything for you being as i figured we might have 10 ppl doing this thing weekly figured i could take care of points pretty easy. you can pick any driver each week doesn't matter if somebody else picks the same

was great race tonight- caution at the end got Newman(a Boilermaker) the win- good for b10 atleast lol

it was a great race and i wish they would of interviewed kyle busch i was out so didn't get to watch speed channel you get any highlights on his interview?
