Fact or Fiction....Iowa's Defense would hold Ohio St under 30 points

No offense is not consistent enough to stay on the field eating the clock and allowing defensive rests. After the last beat down we gave them if the game got out of hand early I do not see them letting the foot off the gas at all. Without offense it has the chance to get real ugly. After watching LSU, OSU and Alabama this past weekend even though Bama has no Tua I still think LSU is #1 and OSU #2. LSU Is really battle tested and is going to be very tough to beat in the SEC a lot will shake out after this weekend.

Are we going to be able to hold Wisky and Minnesota under 30? That is the big question

Big Assumption if they played, but how good is Iowa' Defense against the mighty Buckeyes this year?

Only if the Iowa offense could somehow move the ball consistently and get 35 minutes of TOP and make OSU go 80 yards or so each of their possessions. OSU is very fast at so many offensive skill positions that it would be tough to not have someone open on almost every pass play. Dobbins and their O Line are tough and then it is hard to account for Fields.

But if the Hawks didnt give them any short fields it could be close to being done. I might even count 31 to 35 points a victory for the defense.

In Kinnick yes, at the Shoe no, offense blows that bad that the defense would be on the field 80% of the game

I think the answer is Yes but it's more because of the OSU D completely shutting down our offense resulting in short fields and opportunities for the OSU Offense that leads me to believe they would score 30.

Nope, 'tis pure fiction. Oh, they'd do alright for awhile. But with Iowa's offense being so anemic, the defense would be gassed halfway through the 3rd quarter. At which time, the Buckeyes would shred them.

Color me stupid, but I'd like to see Alaric Jackson and Chase Young go at it. Jackson is playing better now that he's had a few weeks to get back into things. By the end of the year...I expect him to be NFL ready.

If UM was the coach Id say yes we have a chance to hold them under 30 but not with Day. He's a heck of a better coach than UM.

I don't see anyone keeping them under 30 seriously.
Who would have more fans in Indy, Iowa or Ohio State?

Dude, not even close. My daughter goes to NC State and we went up there for a game a few weeks ago for parents weekend. So before the game we went to a sports bar about a mile from the stadium, and this place was filled with Ohio State fans. I am not exaggerating, it was 95% ohio state, 3% NC State and 2% for everyone else. They even had the buckeye mascot blow up there too. A mile from the game. Never seen anything like it. Those fans ate everywhere.

This is the correct answer.
