Explaining the bandwagon concept to the board

Yeah, this isn't an efficient offense. I feel like the total is less than the sum of the parts on offense. At least if the defense has the right players they will be good. Don't get that feeling on offense

IMHO we have the parts to make the offense something our rivals can fear. What we need is aggressive and creative play-calling along with a better understanding of which parts need to go where . . . and when.

Either you misread his post . . . or mine . . . or both.

I was talking about this part which I believe to be true.

"I think most all on this board and who follow the hawks are not fair weather bandwagon fans. But they want to see the team win and this year with all the returning starters they want to see better football."

I think that statement does a good job of expressing why so many are upset. That's why I thought it was well said.

For anyone to say that "people who want the team to be very successful and then get upset when their not playing well" are band wagoners, that's insane. I am not accusing anyone on here of saying that but just pointing that out.

The game is played to win. No one goes out onto that field and says lets just play well enough to get a participation trophy.

I don't like it when Iowa loses and I doubt if any of you do also (unless your a clown fan). Another thing, just because we come on here and vent about the game doesn't mean we aren't having a great day with our friends and family and that we are miserable about life because Iowa lost. LMAO!!!!! This is a sports forum and that's what it is for!!! Happy when we play well and win the game, and irritable (on the forum) when we lose. Why do some on here assume we kick the dog after game and yell at our family. If someone is doing that they need to grow up or get professional help.
