expectations.

History shows we are about a 7-8 win program... with a few 9-wins... and fewer 10 wins. In think Iowa should always have at least 8 wins... We have the facilities... fans... money... just don't have a coach that will get us back to 9 or 10. Too much parity now and thus staff has simply been average the past 3 years and others have passed us by ... Whisky... NW ... even Indiana is a program on the rise ... Tough to see programs like NW and Indiana on our level now... playing in crappy stadiums in front of 38,000 people.

not this again.... listen we all know we have not the talent pool of some schools.

But this argument doesn't cut it anymore because we lose often to teams with less talent then us... see MAC team losses..

If we only ever lost to OSU or Michigan or something ya... but that's not what happens.

Really tired of this reasoning - because its simply not true. Were not just loosing to the talented schools.

kirk got paid that much because he was getting top tens or close to it... that's how he managed those contracts.

winning 4-7 games a year is not what he gets paid to do.

It's pretty obvious it's not working out right now.

So what we're saying is there is NO decline in the program yet we are 50th in the recruiting class services and 8th in the Big Ten....where does that leave you after 4-5 years of that.....50th with 8th place finishes in the mediocre Big Ten. If we are going to continue to do that why do we need Kirk at $3+M per year. He gets paid, or should, to win football games.
