EXACTLY WHAT POSITIVE THING DOES ALL THE NEGATIVITY ACHIEVE?

WHile this makes sense to a point(such as, I'll try and find the positive in my wife banging my best friend), I don't see the gain in being excessively negative about stuff that doesn't matter.

In all earnestness, if a football game has an effect on your mood more than 5 minutes after the game, you're a loser.

***Slinks away.*** I'm not still mad about the 2010 season.

I am really surprised by the negativity on this "fan" site. I don't see what discussing how bad we are achieves; it certainly doesn't help the morale of any fan or players, and could discourage possible recruits. We are 1-1, and people seem to be writing the team off. The assumption seems to be that we will not gain experience, not learn from mistakes, and not improve. WHY buy into that when we have a young team, and it is early in the season? If you watch other college teams and check out the scores, there are plenty of mistakes being made everywhere. The Hawks have a fair chance of winning each of the next four games, and I won't count them out of any game, especially at Kinnick. One step at a time. We broke the losing streak; now we need to get pumped to beat ISU. One thing that attracts players and coaches to Iowa is our supportive fan base; WHAT IS THE POINT of eroding it?

There is nothing wrong with pointing out the things that aren't good but I just feel sorry for the people that seem to want Iowa to lose just so Ferentz can be fired. I go in every week rooting for them to win. If they don't it sucks but it doesn't control my mood or life like some. Same thing if they win. I don't see the point of getting so upset. Nothing you do is going to control whether they win or lose.

Guess Im a loser LOL

By this definition I am a loser, but I must be getting better as a loser because instead of a game effecting my mood for several hours I got it down to about 45 minutes now.

Watch this three times.

Crap. They got it all 3 times.
I still blame myself. Ma made me go buy a car that day so I couldn't go to the game. I always carry a whistle with me. Had I been there, I would have blown my whistle before the snap and the refs would have been like "Can the crowd please stop blowing the whistles?" and during the intervening time Ferentz would have heard my screams of "FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE" and we would have won the game. I will carry that one to my grave and I apologize again.

If Barta listened to the OP, we'd still have Todd Lickliter, as our basketball coach.
It's not negativity, it's simply a cost-benefit analysis, etc.
