Even with a loss in Indy, is there a path to the NY6 bowls?

Iowa probably comes in at what, #19 tomorrow? I haven't broken down schedules of other teams, but I'm guessing there are likely a few losses in the final two weeks among teams ranked in the teens. So Iowa possibly inches up if they win the next two weeks. Maybe they are 16 or 17 a week from Tuesday, and then 14-15ish the following week?

Let's not jinx ourselves with talk of a miracle win in Indy. But say things break the right way for the Hawks that night, and they take the game deep into the 4th quarter against the number 1 team in the country.

Possible they actually move up the final couple spots with a loss to make a New Years 6? I think it'd require a couple blowouts in title games, too.

Anything that prevents the Big Ten from having four teams in the NY6?

No way with three losses. Having said that, we have a chance of winning in Indy if our offense plays with the competence they did Saturday against Rutgers.

No. Iowa has to win in Indy than hope to be selected.

They would have to look very good with a decisive win and hope the selection committee would look past that Minnesota bullshit call and view Iowa as a 1 loss team sec to said bullshit call.

Yes. Two things. The SEC & P12

Of the SEC and Pac 12 teams likely ahead of them in the 10-18 range, Oregon State has two losses and still has to play WA and Oregon State. Arizona has three losses and still has to play Utah and ASU. Tennessee has three losses and still has to play Georgia.

Missouri and Ole Miss have two losses but manageable schedules. LSU has three losses.

Outside the SEC, Oklahoma has two losses - a good thumping in a title game would help there, if they can make it. Notre Dame has three losses but a manageable schedule.

I think if Iowa wins the next two, they'll be right around 15 if things go chalk. So they probably need a couple upsets from the teams above them (like an Ole Miss losing to Miss State for example), and then an impressive loss to Michigan or Ohio State.
