I generally agree with you. Penn St. is still a Div 1 program with quality recruits. I see a team rallying around an interim coach who really wants to win with the hopes of gaining the job. Dangerous game, IMO, especially when Iowa has some questions in areas.

Agree. Those players want this one bad. They hear all the talk and they want it gone.

Scariest game of the year for the Hawks by far. None of the others including Oregon are even close.

Yep. Exactly. The PSU players will be hyperfocused and lathered for this one.

Penn State hasn’t beaten any team wit a pulse this year. Of course we need to be ready. Of course we cannot overlook them. And we have never overlooked Penn State, ever. Hawks will be ready for this challenge

All in all, I thought the redshirt freshman played pretty well in his first collegiate start in a very hostile environment.

He has natural instincts win the pocket and with running with it. He made a couple good throws but they didn't seem to trust him to throw downfield much. I thought we did a pretty good job of going at him and the blitzes we had at the end were perfect. But he had a couple really good drives they could build off of with him. Just glad we beat em.

Yah. If he's their guy for next year. ..he's going to have a lot of varied and useful experience under his belt.
