ESPN used a Black Tigerhawk for Iowa....

No biggie. I see both used...and not only on ESPN.

Im sure they used black because it looked the best in whatever graphic they used to display it in. The tigerhawk itself is trademarked, and the university uses it in a variety of colors, (black, yellow, white, grey, sometimes even pink). Not sure what the issue is here.

NO

I love the black tigerhawk

the gold one is good to, if it is just left as a stencil, without any trim, but the usually kill it by putting a bunch of ugly black trim around each of the pieces. With either color, the logo itself should be monotone

I don't know why it would matter at all.

Unless it's on a big background of black like the helmet, it probably looks better by itself than gold.

no big deal, interchangable in my opinion. I prefer the black if the background is white or gold.

The thing that bugs me is when the tigerhawk is backwards. Yuck.

Go Hawks!

Really? Which way should it face. If you look at a helmet, it faces both directions. I would face my tiger hawk to the right, but i dont necessarily think facing it the other way is out of line.

H8IAST8-

I should have prefaced my comment with the fact that it is not acceptable other than on the helmet.

Outside of that context, I think it looks weird backwards.

Go Hawks!

I like Tigerhawks of all shape, size, gender, creed and sexual orientation. Just keep the "Crackhawks" in the closet!!!
