ESPN B1G Power Rankings

Reads like he has MN there cuz he thinks they will make the tourney because they built their NCAA resume over a month ago.

MN is in serious, serious trouble.

Which is why the selection process and he NCAA in general is a joke.

Have to agree to disagree for two reasons. I can only compare to the current BCS travesty, but I think it's a fair comparison on how *not* to do things.

#1--Selection committee uses far more objective criteria than the BCS could ever hope for. RPI, SoS, real data. No homer voters. No apathetic voters. No idiotic computer. No reward for playing an easy non-conf schedule (just the opposite). Rather, a group of people who take what they do seriously.

#2--BCS way of things harshly penalizes a team for losing late...the lack of sex appeal, etc. At least the BB committee rewards a team for the entire body of work, rather than 'what have you done for me lately.' That is why both Minney and Illinois still get serious dance consideration, as they should.

Perfect? Far from it. Infinitely better than the BCS charade? Undeniable.

Maybe the NCAA's selection process if a joke but the BCS one is a bigger joke.

What does it take to become a bracketologist? Does it pay very well? How about a power ranker? Is that a sub-specialty of bracketology? Is there a lot of reading involved, or mostly watching tv? I'm thinking about going in to the profession, but I need to know - are their fees covered by insurance, or would I have to chase customers for payment? I'm not very impressed with those in the profession right now, so I think there would be room for me.
It takes 2 things...

1. LOTS of free time.

2. Bad haircut.

Indiana
Penn State
@Nebraska
@Purdue

They have to win at least 2 of these to make the tourney. Has a 7-11 team ever been chosen?

I realize they started off 15-1 but their biggest non-conf win was against Memphis… And they’ve looked like dog crap for the last 2 months.
