Environment at CHA Today

It was awesome...well, at least in the first half and early in the second when the fans were trying to help the team.

There were several roars in the first half, the fans were really into it and people were happy to be there for something that seemed to matter. The buzz before the game was great, too...spoke with so many fans who were just smiling ear to ear, so happy to feel like basketball mattered to them again.

It's not as if it stopped mattering, it's just that there hadn't been a payoff for so long.

It obviously wasn't a great game from Iowa's standpoint and I think the moment was too big for this team right now. I think they'll learn from it..and never having to face Jared Sullinger again in the regular season is a good thing, too. I was glad to be there.

In the first half we were on a mini run and on a break and i think bryce had the ball and may was trailing and bryce set him up with a wide open three that i believe would have tied it. The place was ready to go nuts. We just never got the chance.

Yes it was...told my dad right then that if Iowa hits a three here the roof may cave in..people were so ready to go insane.

Lots of wins at carver left this year. When you play OSU, Michigan, Mich State and Illinois only one time... that leaves plenty of games vs PSU, NW, Nebby, Minn

Great D effort in first half today.

In the next two years, I have to get to Carver before tickets become extremely, extremely difficult to get because they will.
There were a handful of times that Iowa could have blown the top off of Carver today in the first half especially. The game at MSU will be interesting to see how they come back.
This team seems to really battle, they lack a true star, but have a couple of budding ones in Marble and White. Once they fully blossom, probably sometime next season Iowa is going to be extremely tough. There are times that some players look like they don't truly understand their role. Just go out and do what you do best and everything else will fall into place. That is how Iowa won at Wisconsin and Minnesota, if Iowa plays their best game of the year today, I am still not sure they win that is just how good OSU is.

Carver-Hawkeye rockin'. Boy is that a misnomer! If you experienced the Field House, you will know what I'm talking about.

Bringing the fam to the Michigan game. This part of the schedule is kind of brutal. Not making excuses because OSU is obviously a way better team. But you go on the road to Minny on Wed night then turn around and play OSU on Saturday at 2. Then you have to go to MSU on Tuesday night. But they get 3 days rest before Michigan comes to town. Hopefully they will give MSU a decent game and we'll have a similar atmosphere for Michigan like today.

Lol. No, I really wish she could have been there. I will be bringing her over to a game before the year is out. I am thinking 2/4 vs PSU and a good chance of a win ;)

Too bad today was a recruiting dead period

Only if you count the guy that stood five feet from me, staring at me for about 30 seconds before coming up and saying 'Are you Rob Brooks?'

Oh that's funny crap, there. Got a chuckle out of me.

Don't ban me because this is the very first time I have mentioned this on your site, but you didn't respond back to the guy with "Ostrich", did you? That for one time would have been appropriate. ;)
