Enough of the negativity

Wow, maybe its me but I've come to see how incredibly negative the fan base has become on this forum. Maybe we all need to step away, go outside for some fresh air and sunshine. I honestly think it has become fashionable for many to stay frustrated, angry and negative. Some would rather stay angry and be proven right about bad stuff. People don't want to risk being positive (oh my gawd I might be proven to hope in vein).

It's just Iowa football pepole. Get some perspective.

and now - I'll await your criticism.

It is a lot easier to be negative than positive, especially after the last couple of seasons.

I agree we all probably need a step away and realize that being negative on a message board isn't going to help this team.

Then again nothing anyone posts on this message board is actually going to have a negative or positive impact on the Iowa football program, it will not affect the outcome on the field.

Please list a few positives...something with basis and not lollipops like "2013 is a new season and we should go 6-6...rah..rah..rah."

"Last couple??" New to Hawkeye football, huh?

Thanks for the post. I am sick of all the whining on here. It is worse than the world of warcraft forums. We have more returning starters than any team in the big 10 and a coach that has engineered two huge turn arounds here. This team will be strong again.

Some is warranted, but there will always be negative people out there. I think the staff overhaul was overdue and it is what it is. The biggest concern is, can KF get them back to respectable, the record was not good, but Iowa is far from awful. If they were, they wouldn't have lost close games, they would have been blown out.

Iowa is always going to have ups and downs, that is a fact.

After the '02-'04 seasons the '05-'07 seasons were disappointing but then '08 and '09 were a nice surprise. Then '10-'12 brought back the down years and since Iowa lost to ISU two straight seasons and Central Michigan this year and didn't make a bowl game yes it makes the '05-'07 look worse but you have to learn how to take the bad with the good.

World of Warcraft????

I think most of the whiners gere have a miserable life. Even if iowa sucked for ten years I wouldn't feel the need to complain and whine incessantly. Its a game where I have nothing at stake.

I get a kick out of the ones who say that losing has embarrassed them as individuals. No one I know puts the iowa program on me. I choose to watch and follow them. My peers don't see Iowa football as my essence. If yours do than you have an issue.

NC, I agree with you but instead of just telling everyone to knock it off. Give us a list of the things that you believe we should be looking at for positives and people will discuss it.

Right I was not happy with the frost mage nerfs or the losses but I don't complain. I make the best of it and move foward.

Most people are negative and get a subconscious satisfaction from it. Listen to people where you work, at restaurants, in general conversation, etc. we are big fat Americans that like to complain.

Let's save it till the season, because it's probably going to be ugly. I hope not, but my cup is half empty on the football program right now.

Things are going really well. I hope Kurt keeps rolling. The last two seasons in particular have been super.
