Eno

It would have been great to have Gordon, but Wisconsin was the better program at the time and had a recent history of putting RB's into the NFL. It's not surprising he picked Wisconsin. Hopefully Eno will not turn out to be another Gordon.

Melvin Gordon says hi

Melvin Gordon was awesome, but he didn't gain all those yards in a vacuum. Wisconsin has excellent lines. I'd argue that the last two Indiana RBs (lightly recruited) are having just as good as year as Gordon (tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard)

He's gone. He's not coming back. It's not the end of the world. Yes, it would have been great to have him. There are other fish in the sea. I'm just really not sure why a bunch of grown men need to go all nuclear over a 17-year old boy who has yet to decide where he's even going to college.

This.

Get him back any how any way. If we win out, this season is a wash in my mind. But to continue strong we need strong classes. Eno will not only make this class better, he will probably continue recruiting the whole time here. I really hope there is still a way he winds up a Hawk.
AGREE. I POSTED THAT.MUST TRY.IF CAP FAILS STILL A QUALITY SITUATION.AGAIN MUST TRY.ENO LIKES FUN SITUATIONS.ENJOY THE TIME OF RECRUITING JUST MY VERY SLIGHT KNOWLEDGE OF OCCURANCE.

Didn't we go 4-8, 8-5, and 7-6 with Weisman? We can make any player work at any position. We just might not be very good.

This isn't directed at you, but it's crazy how many Iowa fans think having a great running back isn't a big deal. If Melvin Gordon stayed committed, we probably average 2-3 more wins per year during his time here.

It wasn't that Iowa lost Gordon that put Weisman as a RB for Iowa, it was all the other RB they lost (Wegher, Arob, McCall, Hampton, Coker, and Garmon). When you have 6 very good RB that all gone in a 2 -3 year window that hurts. The way AIRBHG was chewing up and spitting out Iowa RB, it wouldn't have surprised me if Gordon comes to Iowa he blows out 2 knees and never plays again.

I know. My post was in response to someone saying we made due with Weisman or something along those lines.
