I have found Bibbs referred to as Emmanuel, Emanuel, and EJ on different websites. Here is a story from the Daily Iowan in the fall of 2010 that refers to EJ Bibbs playing intramural football at Iowa. I'm not sure if it is the same EJ Bibbs or not, but it's there. I'll keep looking and see what I can find.

After searching several sites and reading up on this kid, everything I see seems to point to Bibbs being a greyshirt who spent a semester at Iowa before washing out and heading to Arizona. I don't see anything from 2010 that directly confirms this, but there are certainly signs that point to it being the case.

Well he was there for a semester, therefore did go to Iowa for a period of time.

Going to Iowa and being a member of the football team are two totally different things. He may have went to Iowa but he was no more a part of the football team than I was. Yet CW and company like touting that ISU's newest recruit was a former Iowa commit. Not true.
Well anyways, hes a committed recruit, that had offers. Now you can get off that soap box about ISU's recruits so far.

At this point does anyone else care? Probably not. I have pretty much written my resume as to my stance on ISU athletics. If people here are shocked I'm talking **** about ISU they apparently haven't been paying attention. Thanks for thinking about me though.
Hard to not think of you when you are in every ISU thread or bringing up ISU quite a bit in other threads.
A friend of mine on fbook just posted this status link and tagged him, saying how proud of him she is.

Had to dig this up. Apparently Bibbs is the best TE in the Big12 which automatically qualifies him for best TE in the ******* world. Too bad he didn't stay at Iowa...I guess.
